Lara's vision for her studio is that the time her students spend in the studio should be the best time of their day. Lara and her staff are committed to furthering that vision. That clarity simplifies on-boarding when she hires new staff.
She knows that in order to make her studio that refuge that she desires, she needs to go way beyond letting staff know a lot more than the how to operate the computer system, schedule classes and enroll members. Her staff needs to become stand-ins for her and offer everyone that same welcoming and open experience that she would. Everyone gets a warm welcome. She asks that staff learn (and use) students names. She wants to ensure that when someone walks into the door of the studio, no matter if it's their first day or they've been coming for years, they feel welcomed into space and are invited to join into the conversation.
She wants to ensure that people feel that their presence is important and they are part of the community.

When you have your vision you’re less likely to be bullied and be able to deal with the uncomfortable situations and conflicts that come up naturally when dealing with the public. It has to do with developing deep roots. When you know what you want, it's so much easier to weigh choices and actions against the idea that you have envisioned.
As yoga studio owners, the transformation that we offer people is always present, so our "why" is usually at the forefront. That gives our vision a lot of power. Health and wellness are built into the product that we are offering.
