When studio owners think about creating special programs in their studios they often focus on teacher training programs. But, looking beyond teacher training to specific transformation-focused programs can be very liberating.
For a studio to grow and thrive you need additional levels.
This is true in your own cultivation as a teacher and a leader as well.
In addition to being great for the bottom line of your studio, second-level training is also great for the development of your students as well as your own continued growth. A true master creates masters. Continuing to teach new material keeps you growing in your craft. It makes you go deep. And there is a lot of creativity and energy about this level of teaching.
To brainstorm ideas, you might want to begin by thinking about what you can teach that doesn't fit into the limitations of your current classes. What's a great next step or deeper dive for your students?
How can you help them reach the next level? This is a great chance to go deep and really get into the nuts and bolts of something very specific.
Some things to consider when brainstorming and creating a special program include:
Take your students through a process. Get very clear by asking yourself what is the transformation for students at the end? What do you want the students "before and after" to be?
Understand the goals of the program. Make a list of your expectation of what it will include and what the specific benefits are to your students.
Work back from the transformation and goals you have set out to understand how much time it should take.
Also, consider supportive materials such as a workbook or worksheets/ What will students need to reach their goals?
They should have a different (higher) level of expectations for special training. Make it feel special and purposeful. You can do this by offering next-level training, a special workbook or guide, focused attention, and more individualized attention to your students. This is a way for them to connect more deeply with their own practice, your studio, and you. And it's an important way to increase your studio's bottom line!
At the event itself make sure to take pictures and use social proof by asking participants to share.
